Day of the Dead Murals XI
The Murals of Jlatlaco
It had been my intention to conclude the tour of Jalatlaco Day of the Dead Murals with entry number X. But I had not anticipated that the artist Bouler would do three more murals in the two weeks leading up to the big day. Two of these are in Jalatlaco and this one is a few blocks over on Pino Suarez just down the street from the library and the Las Mariposas hotel.
To the right of this building is a small coffee place where I used to go...the locally grown mountain coffee is delicious. To the left is a large hotel with a large side yard. Until this mural was painted I never really noticed this small building.
This is rather self explanatory. It is the artist Bouler in his signature mural style, it has most of the day of the dead imagery and it is colorful and beautifully done. What more can I say!
This is Bouler’s Instagram page with a much better photo and portrait of the painting crew.
